Our Mission

Rescue Pooh Dog is dedicated to offering high quality products, a website, and social media exposure to raise awareness of animal shelters across the world. We are committed to donating a portion of our proceeds to our Spotlighted rescue shelters in order to help defer the costs of caring for these wonderful animals. We strive to educate potential owners, and to promote the happiness and joy of owning an adopted rescue dog.

About the Illustrator and Author

Alicia Frese-Klenk has been painting and drawing since she was a child. Her interest in art was first discovered by her mother when Alicia was 2, and she was found painting with a lovely bright red nail polish on her mother’s beautiful green silk bedspread… What’s the problem? Green and red are complimentary colors, after all…Alicia’s art “skills” were channeled into a more productive arena around the age of 9. Her parents always kept her stocked with plenty of art supplies. Alicia no longer paints on bedspreads and holds a BFA in Painting and illustration from Auburn University.

She has won many awards for her equine photography and paintings, at national and international levels.

When Alicia is not running her photography business and fine art studio she shares her life with her husband Bill, 2 rescue dogs, 2 cats and her Hanoverian mare, Divine Dream, aka, DD. More information about Alicia can be found on her website aliciafrese.com.

William Klenk is inspired by the love of rescue dogs and a fascination of animals of all types. He enjoys riding the trails with his horse Mackie. Rescue, A dog’s journey is his first book.
